A Community Built on Compassion and Care
At Amber Spoke, we believe that every person deserves to live with dignity, comfort, and connection in their later years.
Return HomeOur Story
Amber Spoke was established in 2018 by a group of healthcare professionals who recognized the need for senior care that goes beyond basic assistance. Having worked in various care settings across Southeast Asia, our founders saw firsthand how meaningful it is when older adults receive support in an environment that truly feels like home.
Our name reflects our philosophy. Like the warm glow of amber lanterns lighting a path through the evening, we aim to provide guidance and comfort during a stage of life that can sometimes feel uncertain. The "spoke" represents the many connections we help maintain between residents, their families, their communities, and the care they need.
Located in the historic Charoen Krung area of Bangkok, our residence occupies a renovated building that blends traditional Thai architectural elements with modern accessibility features. We chose this location deliberately—it offers easy access to medical facilities while maintaining the quiet, neighborhood atmosphere that promotes wellbeing and rest.
Since opening, we've supported over 150 families in finding appropriate care arrangements for their loved ones. Some residents stay with us for extended periods, others come for short-term respite, and many families visit us first through our weekend wellness program to better understand what residential care involves.

Families receive monthly written updates on their loved one's wellbeing and participate in quarterly care review meetings. We're also available by phone or email anytime concerns arise.
Our Values and Approach
We approach senior care as a partnership. While our role is to provide daily support and health monitoring, we recognize that each person brings a lifetime of experiences, preferences, and relationships that shape who they are. Our job is to learn about each resident as an individual and adapt our care to support their wellbeing in ways that respect their autonomy and dignity.
This means involving residents in decisions about their daily routines, listening when they express preferences about how care is provided, and maintaining open communication with family members who know their loved ones best. It also means being honest about what we can and cannot provide, so families can make informed decisions about whether our community is the right fit.
We operate on the understanding that quality care requires adequate staffing, proper training, and reasonable workloads for care team members. We maintain care-to-resident ratios that allow our staff to spend meaningful time with each person rather than rushing through tasks. Team members are supported through regular supervision, ongoing training opportunities, and a workplace culture that values their contributions.
Our community is designed to balance social connection with personal privacy. Residents have private rooms where they can retreat when they want solitude, as well as communal spaces where they can interact with others if they choose. Activities are offered but never required, and daily schedules are flexible enough to accommodate different sleep patterns, energy levels, and preferences.
Visit Our Community
We welcome families to visit our residence and see our community in action. Tours are available during visiting hours, and we're happy to answer questions about our care approach.
